Fierce fighting in Jabaliya

Only the bodies of 15 people killed and more than two dozen injured Palestinians could be taken out in fierce fighting in Jabaliya, Gaza's largest refugee area. There are still more dead bodies and injured trapped in the war zone but it is not possible to rescue them amid shelling and bombing. Jabaliya resident Ibrahim Khaled told on phone that there is shelling from tanks and bombing from planes in the area, hence no one is safe there.

A total of 35,386 Palestinians were killed in Gaza.

The Israeli army said its operations were continuing in Jabaliya and Rafah. On Friday, 70 terrorist hideouts in Gaza were targeted and bombed. Whereas Palestinian fighters' organizations Hamas, Al Jihad and Fatah have said that they are fighting along with the Israeli army. They have killed or injured dozens of Israeli soldiers through anti-tank rockets, mortars and explosive devices. A total of 35,386 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza in the seven months of fighting. While 281 soldiers of the Israeli army have been killed in the battle.

Israeli soldiers found the body of a hostage

After finding the bodies of three hostages kidnapped by Israel in Gaza on Friday, Israeli soldiers also found the body of a hostage on Saturday. The name of this hostage is Ron Benjamin. He was kidnapped from Israel by Hamas fighters on October 7, 2023 and taken hostage. Meanwhile, opposition leader Benny Gantz, who is in Israel's war cabinet, has threatened to resign. Said that he is not satisfied with the Israeli government's action on the Gaza war.

Eight lakh people forced to flee Rafah: UN agency

The head of the UN agency dealing with Palestinian refugees said on Saturday that 800,000 people have been forced to flee Gaza's far southern city of Rafah since Israel began a military operation there this month.

Following the evacuation orders, Gazans have fled to central areas and destroyed buildings, including Khan Yunis, UNRWA chief Philippe Lazzarini said in a post on social media site X, according to an AFP report.

Israel, meanwhile, has said the ground assault on Rafah was crucial to its fight against Palestinian Hamas activists, insisting it was Hamas's last stronghold in Gaza.
